Professor Fida Hassnain has been conferred with a Life Time Achievement award by the Jammu and Kashmir Government for recognizing his outstanding work as a Historian and in Alternative medicine. The award was presented by the Governor of Jammu and Kashmir in a function organized by the General Administrative Department at Sher-e-Kashmir International Convention Center (SKICC) on May 14, 2011.
